From Antichrist to Christ

Vanya walked into his first Bible study in Khmelnitsky, Ukraine, fresh from reading ‘The Antichrist’ by philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, a book fiercely arguing against Christianity and its morality. Armed with doubts and ready to challenge everything with his sharp mind, he thought:

“Let’s see what the Bible has to say.”

He didn’t expect what – and who – he found in the Bible’s pages.

From July onward, Vanya never missed a single Bible study. Though claiming to be non-religious, he joined street outreaches, his curiosity about Jesus growing with each encounter. By October, during a Sunday service, Vanya prayed a prayer of repentance and surrendered his life to Christ.

Ukrainian Christians sharing the Gospel

The transformation was immediate and radical.

“Why aren’t you going out on the streets?” he now challenges fellow believers at church gatherings. “How can you play board games while people are going to hell?”

Today, Vanya travels across Ukraine organizing “Raffa Parties”— creative outreach events where non-religious young people freely explore faith. Through just three parties, 300 people have heard the Gospel. His passion ignites churches, inspires believers, and opens conversations with those far from God.

Pray for Vanya and other Ukrainian Christians courageously sharing the Gospel in this time of war, loss and uncertainty. It’s a time where many young people like Vanya are asking big questions.

Our generous supporters provide Ukrainian Bibles and transform sceptics into bold witnesses.
