Seeking appropriate permission to use Biblica texts
We are passionate about working in partnership with other organisations and ministries to make our biblical texts available where possible. If you are in any doubt about whether or not you need specific written permission to use the NIV®, NIrV® or any Biblica text, please do just contact us initially on email@example.com and we will be happy to help guide you.
When do I need written permission?
The NIV® and NIrV® may be quoted in any form (written, visual, electronic or audio) up to and inclusive of five hundred (500) verses without the express written permission of the publisher, providing the verses quoted do not amount to a complete book of the Bible nor do the verses quoted account for more than 25 percent (25%) or more of the total text of the work in which they are quoted. For additional rights and permission usage on the NIV® and NIrV® Bible please contact Biblica.
Permission request for use of the NIV® text that exceed the above guidelines should be directed to, and approved in writing by Rights and Permissions Administrator, Biblica, 1820 Jet Stream Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80921–3696.
