Nigel is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years experience working for companies in the real estate sector. He is currently Finance Director of Marick Real Estate. Nigel joined the Biblica Board in 2011, and enjoys being part of such an inspirational organisation with a clear heart to spread the Gospel and help people read and understand the Bible. Nigel lives and works in London, where he attends an Anglican church in the south of the city.
Bishop Ken Good
Since his ordination Ken has served as a Church of Ireland rector and as a Secondary School teacher and chaplain. He has been Bishop of Derry and Raphoe since 2002. Having used the NIV throughout his ministry, he was very willing to join the Board of Biblica when invited to do so in 2013. He is very committed to bible translation and distribution, as well as to making the scriptures accessible in Ireland and elsewhere.
Damon’s most recent role was as ‘Director of Operations & Billing – Transformation’ for TalkTalk. Prior to that he was Director of Operations and Billing for the TalkTalk Consumer division with responsibility for Supply Chain & Logistics, Provisioning, Billing, Collections & Fraud. He has been with the Carphone Warehouse and, latterly, TalkTalk Group for 18 years and has undertaken a number of roles in that time which have focused on increasing operational performance and efficiency, step change reduction in operational costs and improvement in operational and financial controls through improved reporting and MI. Damon is married to Theresa and lives in Hemel Hempstead with their four boys! He is actively involved in South Hill Church where he is part of the youth work leadership team.
Gareth Russell is Director at Jersey Road and has served on the Board since 2012. The company works with charities and issue based organisations to help shape their communications and engage with media. Jersey Road PR has particular expertise in working with faith–based charities, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to tell their story better. As well as being Director of Jersey Road, Gareth is Senior Pastor at the Grand Union Vineyard Church in Milton Keynes and additionally sits on the boards of Stewardship and Care. Gareth is married to Andi and lives in Stony Stratford. He is passionate about helping people release the potential of the Bible and see the word of God influencing every aspect of their lives.
Elaine is the Chief Executive of the Scottish Bible Society. Elaine is not only enthusiastic about people having a Bible in their own language, also in helping people understand it and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through it. Elaine’s previous employment was with Scripture Union Scotland (11 years) and the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (14 years). She has a degree in Behavioural Sciences (psychology) and worked for 18 months in a psychiatric unit. Elaine is originally from Cumbria. She now lives in Glasgow, works in Edinburgh and supports the Scottish rugby team!
Global Ministry Officer
Stephen joined Biblica in 2011 in the role of Executive Director for Europe. He now serves as Biblica’s Global Ministry Officer with direct responsibility for leading Biblica’s seven regional teams, as well as overseeing global translation, publishing engagement and partnerships.
Lindsey joined Biblica in 2012, in a project management role, but was appointed as Area Executive Director in October 2015. Her role involves setting the vision and giving strategic direction to Biblica’s work across Europe. Lindsey sits on the Global Ministry Team, which leads Biblica’s work around the world. She is married to Dawie and they live in Bangor, Northern Ireland with their three boys, JJ, Seb and Charlie. She attends Hamilton Road Baptist Church.
Director for Partnerships & Publishing
Mark joined Biblica in August 2011 and works in the role of Director for Partnerships & Publishing. He has responsibility for overseeing publishing, distribution and access to new translations across Europe. He is also responsible for the development of new ministry partnerships to increase access to Biblica translations and engagement with God’s Word. Mark lives in Penrith with his wife and family, where he attends Penrith Methodist Church.
Director for Translation
Jim has worked with Biblica since 1992. His role involves overseeing all of Biblica Europe’s Bible translation projects, and interacting with translators and revisers for each of our projects. This detailed role also involves checking translations verse by verse and comparing each verse with the original language texts. Jim lives and works in Israel, along with his wife Chelle, where he is also completing a doctoral thesis at the University of the Holy Land. Jim and Chelle have three grown up children and three grandchildren and worship at the King of Kings congregation in Jerusalem.
European Area Translations Manager
Ioan has worked in partnership with Biblica since 2000 on various translation projects but officially joined the Biblica team in January 2017 as European Area Translations Manager. His role involves assessing the need for Bible translations and revisions in various countries, forming translation teams in partnership with churches and Theological schools, checking the progress and maintaining the accuracy of Biblica Europe’s Bible translation projects. He is also helping on the technical side of our global translation work, which involves ensuring the smooth transition of Biblica’s projects from Paratext to publishing. Ioan lives in Little Sutton, north west Cheshire, with his wife, Mirela, and their children Lucas and Lois. He worships at Upton Baptist Church.
Val joined the team in July 2016 in the role of Finance Manager. Originally from Northern Ireland, Val spent time working in Scotland and England having qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Val is enjoying now living in Portrush, five miles from the Giant’s Causeway. She enjoys using her regular commute to Belfast on the train to catch up on reading and sermons!
Nicola joined Biblica in June 2012 in the role of Finance Administrator. This involves raising invoices, processing donations and making sure our suppliers are paid on time, as well as dealing with customer queries and general office administration. Nicola lives in Bangor with her husband Andy and daughters Aliyah and Sophia, and attends Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church.
European Partnerships Manager
Oli joined Biblica in February 2016 in the role of European Partnerships Manager. His role involves facilitating the growth of Biblica’s translation, publishing and ministry partnerships across mainland Europe. By increasing and developing partnerships with ministry organisations, publishers and churches we can better resource mission work across the region. Oli lives with his wife and son in the north of England where they serve their local church.
UK Partnerships Manager
Becky joined Biblica in November 2013 and works in the role of UK Partnerships Manager. This involves working with church leaders and para–church organisations, discovering how Biblica can serve the Church with the Bible. Becky has a particular focus on work in the South East and is also project managing our ‘Accessible Bible’ project. Becky lives in Hampshire with her husband Gerard, son George and Lottie the Labrador!
UK Programmes Co–ordinator
Trevor joined the Biblica team in February 2016 and works in the role of UK Programmes Coordinator. His role involves developing and promoting programmes, such as Community Bible Experience, across the UK and Ireland and providing support to churches and organisations participating in CBE. Trevor is married to Katie and they have two daughters – Niamh and Anabeth. They live in Belfast and are members of Belfast City Vineyard where Katie works as the Kid’s Pastor and they are both involved in the Pastoral Care Team.
Operations and Communications Manager
Catherine joined Biblica in March 2013 and works in the role of Operations and Communications Manager. This involves overseeing and co–ordinating operations and administration, and also co–ordinating our communications and marketing. Catherine lives in Newtownards with her husband Bobby and Cocker Spaniel called Jake, and attends Scrabo Hall.
Digital Communications Officer
Laura joined Biblica in March 2011 and currently works in the role of Digital Communications Officer. This involves overseeing Biblica’s digital communications and social media channels and also managing any current audio bible translation projects. Laura is married to James and they have two sons called Luke and Toby. They live in Lisburn, where they attend Seymour Street Methodist Church.
Joanne joined Biblica in January 2017. Her role as Team Administrator involves assisting with travel arrangements, meetings and with the daily running of the office.
Joanne originally from Dublin now lives in Carryduff. She is married to David and together they worship at Saintfield Road Presbyterian Church.
